First off, I am SO glad that there is someone out there (Philip Kosloski) creating action adventure faith-based comics! Secondly, Michael LaVoy does a phenomenal job with the art!! I especially like his work in "The Phantom Phoenix."
Now, onto Finnian, I did think the plot was incredibly simple and unrealistic. By unrealistic I mean that the characters did not act how real people do. Also, it very much had a Star-Warsy feel and a lot of what the characters said seemed to be taken straight out of The Lord of the Rings. I actually thought there needed to be MORE dialogue, I wanted a lot more story and character development and less filler-phrases. Also, I would have preferred if there was less of an emphasis on Michael and more of an emphasis on Christ and God.
Overall, I am glad someone is making wholesome, action/adventure stories with biblical values!

Fantastic artwork, paper quality, and storyline. I bought this to give to a student receiving baptism this year before he makes first communion, and I think he will love this. So many kids are visual learners, I think this is a great resource for entertainment and educating on Christian virtues and ideas.
