Eager to surprise his parish with a heartfelt Christmas gift, Fr. Otto struggles to balance his priestly duties with his own personal hopes and dreams. Meanwhile, neighborhood kids Berty and Tessa are doing everything they possibly can to get their hands on the coolest toy in town before Christmas.

For the past several years the world has been captivated by Joshua Masterson and his CATHOLIC CARTOON COLLECTIONS, which has won several CATHOLIC MEDIA ASSOCIATION BOOK AWARDS.

Now is our chance to bring his charming world to the small screen!

Hand-drawn animation

Our plan is to create a classic cartoon with OLD-FASHIONED hand-drawn animation. This means we will be hiring real people from around the world to bring Father Otto and his friends to life in an animated special.

Proof of Concept Video

The first step in animating Father Otto's Christmas is a PROOF OF CONCEPT video, which will open the door to establishing distribution channels and partnerships to help fund and create the half-hour TV special.

In association with Voyage Comics, Joshua Masterson is seeking YOUR help to fund this initial video so that we can be one step closer to creating a wholesome Christmas special that will be treasured by families for years to come.

Before we can begin work on the full half-hour episode, we need to create a minute long "PROOF OF CONCEPT" video that will WOW potential partners and investors, who will help fund the animation costs and attract distributors.

VOYAGE is the publisher of Joshua Masterson's CATHOLIC CARTOON COLLECTION and consists of a team of highly motivated Catholic creators who are fully committed to hiring top-tier talent to bring this animated special to life. Learn more about us here.

While Kickstarter is a popular platform, they charge a hefty fee for hosting a crowdfunding campaign on their website, and many of the campaigns hosted on Kickstarter feature problematic content. By hosting it here, 100% of the funds will go directly towards the animated special and families are not subjected to secular advertisements.

Creating a hand-drawn animation requires much time and effort, even for something as short as 2 minutes long. The entire project for a 30 minute show will cost at least $100,000, and that is why we are seeking out partners to help offset costs.

All of the funds will go towards real human beings (not AI bots), who will animate the special. If we exceed the goal, we'll be able to roll right into production of the special and have more in place for when it debuts.

If all goes as planned, we expect to complete the initial proof of concept video in about 3-4 months.

We are exploring ALL avenues for distribution, including digital on demand, streaming services and traditional broadcast television.
