Dive into the remarkable story of a farm boy from Kansas who would become a Shepherd to Soldiers.

Growing up in the rural community of Pilsen, Kansas, Emil Kapaun wanted to be just like his parish pastor. Kapaun fulfilled that dream and, only a few years after his ordination, was assigned to take over the reins as administrator of his hometown parish.

Yet Kapaun felt God tugging at his heart to become a military chaplain, shepherding soldiers in the US Army.

This new mission took Kapaun across the world, first serving in Burma and India and then to Korea during the Korean War. It was there that Kapaun would become a radiant light in the darkness, ministering to soldiers on the battlefield and in a prison camp.

Be inspired by the extraordinary heroism of Father Emil Kapaun in this action-packed comic book, highlighting the courage of a military chaplain who went above and beyond the call of duty to shepherd his flock.

Ven. Fr. Kapaun, pray for us!

A quick and moving introduction to a modern day saint (to-be)! Highly recommend to all ages to show heroes and saints come in all different ways.

The Harvest is Plentiful

Amazing Saint in waiting! Being altar servers is the best seed you can plant in your kids that will guide them on the road to priesthood, and even sainthood. Having worked on a military base, the presence of a priest is essential and a great blessing. The Blessed Virgin Mary is a special and welcome guest in this story. Even the Jeep will help set up mass celebrations in a way you never imagined. This masterpiece will certainly give you a tear or two in the end. My favorite book so far and highly recommended!

Saintly War Hero

The story and the art in this comic is wonderful. There is a touch of light hearted humor and it also contains a glimpse into the drama and horrors of war. It tells of a man determined to follow God's calling. I highly recommend this as an excellent read and historically accurate comic!!

A nice into the story of Emil

Story well told, beautiful illustrations, appropriate portrayal of war for a broad audience. I enjoyed the back and forth in time for a fuller scope of the story.
