LOVE THIS!!

I sent this email the day I got Phantom Phoenix #5:

I literally just got issue 5 of “The Phantom Phoenix”. I was about to start some chores around my house but decided to check out the art.

As you may remember, I’m the one who wrote you a while back before buying any of your comics. I was wary of anything close to immodest artwork regarding females in your books. You graciously told me about your standards and that if I ever found anything “offensive” I could return the book.

Well, THANK YOU for creating very high quality stories and artwork that does not compromise!

I loved this issue. I had to read it right away. Sadly (and excitingly!) it went by WAY TOO FAST! Can’t wait for the next issue! While I wish they were monthly, I also like the “build up” as I wait and ponder what’s going to happen next!

Excellent artwork. Great action literally from the beginning to the last page. Pretty sure I know who this mysterious Shadow Vulture is.

Before I go, I just want to say that I am a 60 year old man who still aspires to tell great comic books stories (I have several ideas and concepts in my head and on my iPad) and who has loved comic books for at least 45-50 years. Stopped buying secular comics over 30 years ago bc of the soft core porn they were pushing. Sadly, many Christian comics today follow the same model as the secular world. As a married man who has struggled with purity over the years, I cannot say how happy I am with what you’ve produced so far.

Don’t get me wrong, but I am hesitant every time I get a new comic from Voyage. It isn’t bc of you, but bc of me and how many times I’ve seen the compromised come into play.

I guess I’m being repetitive so, I’ll go for now. As a follower of Jesus Christ I will pray for you and that you will continue to hold to the highest standard of our Lord and King Jesus Christ.
