This action-packed, full-color comic book biography tells the inspiring life story of Father Joe Walijewski, priest of the Diocese of La Crosse, Wisconsin and founder of the Casa Hogar orphanage in Peru. From his days as an impressionable young boy in Michigan, where he discovered a unique call to the priesthood, to his daring adventures as a missionary in South America, readers are immersed into the heroic actions of a courageous Champion of the Poor.

This project is a collaboration between Voyage Comics and the Father Joseph Walijewski Legacy Guild of the Diocese of La Crosse.

Super Cool!!!

The events are accurate that I am aware of happening Years ago. Being one of Fr. Joes's neices I am proud to be part of his life. The artist is great also.
I bought the magazine for our CD students hoping that at least one child might be a missionary one day! Good job! God bless. Rosemary S.

Local Saint

I am from Illinois and volunteer to greet visitors at the tomb of Ven. Fulton Sheen at our Cathedral in Peoria. We have visitors from all over to come and visit the tomb. Many folks come from Wisconsin and I give them a copy of the graphic novel on Fr Joe. Some have not heard of him. We are close to Wisconsin and so he is a local saint also.

Enlightened

I am glad Father Joe's story is available for young and old to experience. I will pass this on to my Parish school library.

FANTASTIC READ!

My son LOVED all the comic books we bought him for Christmas. He is 13 and devoured them all! He especially enjoyed reading about Fr. Joe since he had never heard of him before. PLEASE continue writing these…boys are longing for good wholesome comics to read and share with friends. THANK YOU!
