Excellent!

I live in Italy and had trouble with the initial shipment from UPS (bad experience, with no way to contact them back about an erroneous message saying I dont live at my address!!). However, Voyage got back to me when I complained and shipped out another copy using DHL which arrived without any issues (though I had to pay 5 EUR customs which was okay as long as I received my shipment).

My intent was to review comics (specifically about the saints) and see if I could provide them for children in faith formation as an incentive to grow in holiness. I must say after my assessment that I found the content and messaging very well presented to the ages I had in mind, and superbly illustrated.

I have no hesitation in giving five stars for the comics I bought (Digital Disciple - Carlo Acutis, Lily of the Mohawks - Kateri Tekakwitha and Servant of the Suffering - Rose Hawthorne).

Congratulations to the team from Voyage and all the best for your work! Your mission will be in my prayers!

John.

Why?

Since I dont know how else to point this out, WHY on earth did yall portray his mother as a tall, skinny, blonde woman!?!? It makes me question the integrity of the whole book if you cant get a simple fact right or worse CHOSE to change it. I was going to order this book for my confirmation class, but after seeing the sample pages, I cant do that in good conscience. I dont know how much of this book is true or false, if youre willing to blatantly change the look of his mother...which frankly is a disservice to all and an insult to her (as if she is not good enough or pretty enough to be portrayed here accurately). If yall do a 2nd edition, I hope yall revise this and any other inaccuracies (like his dad looking like clark kent) that may be there. 😕

Thanks for your review. We did work closely with Carlo's family when we were creating this comic. We provided pictures of his mom to the artist that were chronilogically closer to the time of his life, as we wanted to provide the artist with historically accurate pictures.
His mother was able to review the comic before we printed it and gave her approval.
Since then we have given her a physical copy, when one of our associates was visiting Rome and was able to meet with her and show her the finished product. I appreciate your concern and just want to explain the situation and how we tried to be as historically accurate as we could, working with Carlo's family as much as we could.
