THE HEROIC LIFE AND DEATH OF ST. JOAN OF ARC!

At age 18, Joan led the French armies into battle. She was a peasant girl who couldn't even read, let alone fight a war. To save France from the English, she was going to need divine intervention.

The heavens answered her.

Joan received aid from St. Michael the Archangel, supreme commander of the heavenly armies. With his help, Joan led the French to victory on the battlefield, paving the way to the end of the Hundred Years’ War.

This two issue series follows Joan’s encounters with the Archangel, exploring her brief military campaigns in France, ending in her capture, trial and heroic martyrdom.

To bring a SMILE

This is a gift for a granddaughter away at a Catholic college. She has taken St. Joan's words to her own heart: "I am made for this."
The Voyage edition captures well!

Well made book in all aspects.

The hardback book is great. The art is colorful and well drawn. The story is an easy read and inspiring. I am becoming a fan of Voyage Comics overall.

Birthday Present for young boy turning 11

I got this for a grandson for his birthday. He enjoys graphic novels such as Tin Tin and I thought this would be to his liking. The artwork is good, though I would say the layout is more comic book style than graphic novel. The storyline tracks closely with the movie. I think it will be good exposure to the concept of saints and Angels, though I must confess I never understood why God would be interested in promoting one Christian monarch over another at a time when they should be uniting against Islam. Would like to see a series about the Crusades, Lepanto and Our Lady of Victory, Sobieski lifting the siege of Vienna, etc.

Decent enough

It's a decent enough retelling of Joan of Arc. Unfortunately they got A LOT wrong and changed a bit too much for my liking. Honestly, the 3 stars is me being generous. It's more a 2.5/5 and just passable.
