Prepare yourself to be inspired by a farm boy who would become the first religious brother from the United States to be beatified.

Raised by a loving family, James Miller felt God tugging at his heart at an early age. When he met a De La Salle Christian Brother for the first time in high school, he knew what God was calling him to.

From the fields of Wisconsin to the streets of Guatemala, James poured his entire soul into whatever situation he was put in, filling it with a joy-filled optimism that even violence couldn’t stifle.

Discover the remarkable life of Brother James Miller in this action-packed comic book, highlighting his missionary charism as an educator working for justice and social change for those on the margins.

A collaboration between Christian Brothers Conference & Voyage Comics!

This comic book has been granted a NIHIL OBSTAT and IMPRIMATUR

Inspiring Story!

This was a wonderful story about a martyr we knew very little about! It was very inspiring and tastefully done, especially the martyrdom part.

My Favorite book so far

1. I love that they are now having a Imprimatur and a Nihil Obstat review and verify the stories
2. In the back of the book they got a timeline of his life and also a prayer for his intersection
3. The Art, paneling and story flow is perfect
This book had me excited to tern the page to see what happens next.

A Great "Regular Guy" Who Is On His Way To Sainthood

I grew up in Wisconsin and eventually worked at a Lasallian university where I was privilidged to know the brother that was with him when he died. As a result I have a special fondness for him. I asked for his intersesion during my emergency (and highly unlikely) heart transplant and 5 years later I live in gratitude to God.

Courage Knows no Fear

Touching biography. Beautifully written and illustrated. Took me back to my childhood years as I went to a school run by the Marist Brothers. I would not be here without their solid education system, complemented by a meaningful religious foundation. Brother James Miller is an American hero, and I pray that he gets canonized soon.

What a hero, what a saint

Br. James is a saint for ALL people, no matter what walk of life they’re on. A mature middle-primary/elementary child (BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS) could read about Br. James if you are open to discussing the harsher, but very real side of humanity. I think this book is suited for young ladies, too, as we have more than the virgin martyrs who dedicate their lives to the Church! This comic book highlights the beauty of discovering one’s talent and following God’s will. As always, job well done to VoyageComics. Can’t wait to see what comes next!
