Dive into the remarkable story of a farm boy from Kansas who would become a Shepherd to Soldiers.

Growing up in the rural community of Pilsen, Kansas, Emil Kapaun wanted to be just like his parish pastor. Kapaun fulfilled that dream and, only a few years after his ordination, was assigned to take over the reins as administrator of his hometown parish.

Yet Kapaun felt God tugging at his heart to become a military chaplain, shepherding soldiers in the US Army.

This new mission took Kapaun across the world, first serving in Burma and India and then to Korea during the Korean War. It was there that Kapaun would become a radiant light in the darkness, ministering to soldiers on the battlefield and in a prison camp.

Be inspired by the extraordinary heroism of Father Emil Kapaun in this action-packed comic book, highlighting the courage of a military chaplain who went above and beyond the call of duty to shepherd his flock.

Pray for us, Fr. Kapaun!

In an age of superheroes and action movies, Fr. Kapaun exceeds them while not firing a single shot. He served and loved his fellow soldiers more than himself. His acts of bravery are inspiring, but his devotion for souls matches it. A well-drawn comic and a great story. Thanks be to God for heroic priests!

Discover A Saintly Chaplain

I was unaware of Fr. Emil Kapaun who has been declared Venerable by the late Pope Francis.
This comic shows the trials of army chaplains in combat situations. Fr Kapaun is an inspirational figure...a shepherd who smelt of his sheep. He is a very relatable person.
The comic medium is an excellent way to spread the story of this holy man.

Beautiful artwork and a page-turning story! Can be enjoyed by any age, boy or girl. I may have missed seeing this but how did Father Kapaun gain his eyepatch?
